Baybayin (aka Alibata) is an ancient script used by the native Filipinos, pre-dating Spanish Colonization. Bathala was the name of the god the ancient Filipinos worshiped, also pre-dating Spanish Colonization. The Bathala Project utilizes the shared ties of these two cultural legacies indicative of an indepdent culture as a bold rhetoric in its artwork and designs in an effort to proliferate culture, and the significance of this once dead script.
